Topic tags/keywords: mitre miter box miter saw

does anyone out in lumberjocksland have an instruction booklet/pamphlet for a dorn patent mitrebox?

One just flopped into the pile today, and I know there’s little bits and pieces involved, but they didn’t come with it. I wanna know what they look like.

Eric

You mean one of these?

Or you could ask in the mitre box thread.

yep, but a slightly different model. Found some patent info on rufus dorn “mitre box attachments” that starts to answer my queries about attachments. Mine doesn’t have the “two sided cast iron slides, just one side. But as for attachments… .

heres a lnk to an attachment patent that could explain the “compound” perspective on this…

Thanks for the link to the mitrebox thread. Methinks this is well beyond the average mitre box. God knows I’ve got too many of them. This was too funky to pass by.

Yeah funky enough I wasn’t even sure where the piece you’re cutting goes. Drop some pictures in the mitre box thread for fun if you can.
