I have recently moved to Memphis from San Diego. – I know – what was I thinking. But on the plus side I went from a workshop of 50 square feet to a workshop of +800 square feet.

Still moving in so I have not yet started any projects. But I need to find a good source for hardwoods. Anyone know any good retailers, lumberyards… Near Collierville,TN (Just south of Memphis)?

I went on a mission yesterday to find a local retailer. found a guy up in Bartlet, that has a partnership with Rockler. Had some hardwoods, but limited selection, and Rockler wood prices :(

Are there not any woodworkers in Memphis?? Where do you get your Hardwood? It looks like I may be forced to go to Lowes and HD – Please NOOOOOOOO

I am not near you; in Arkansas. I would google sawmills and kiln drying business near your location and go from there. That’s the best way to get the type of wood you want. Walnut, cherry should sell for $1 bf at the mills.
