I was having trouble with getting a fine spray out of my spray gun, so posted a question about it yesterday. Thanks to many people’s help, I was able to get a much better output and actually got 2 coats on the back of the cabinet doors.

Earlextech, I did the high air/low fluid combination, and I could immediately see the droplets were much finer. I knew from watching the Anest Iwata sprayer, and also from spraying with regular cans of spray paint, that the droplets were way too big.

Also, I discovered there is a huge difference in how the finish looks wet and how it looks dry. I had been letting the doors dry for awhile and then checked them (but they weren’t 100% dry), but after 2 coats and letting them dry completely, they looked great! I’ll be working on the door fronts today, which are sanded more from the factory than the backs, and hopefully the orange peel won’t show up there when they’re dry.

Thanks so much for the help! This site rocks!!!
