I’ve got the vacuum pump installed and wired up. Ready to order material to connect pump to vacuum chuck. The pump and chuck are about 20’ apart. I plan on using 1/4” hose to connect the two. Does the size of hose make any difference to working success of the vacuum chuck?

I used 3/8” ID nylon flex house You can buy it by the foot at Lowes. Most of my brass fittings were 3/8”. I/4 seems a little small.
