I’m curious to know what great deals everyone scored on Black Friday/Cyber Monday. I got a Rikon 3 Speed Air Cleaner for $139 from Woodcraft. It’s still available at that price, actually. Let me know what you scored.

I hustled my arse up to the computer at 6:00 AM to get in on some of the LV cyber Monday stuff. I was after a bevel up smooth plane, and to my dismay every plane listed was sold out by the time I got there. Wound up just buying a gift card to get my plane.

I am particularly pleased with my 60” Jet parallel clamps at 50% off, $40 each.
I’m also waiting to try out my Summit (Peachtree) HVLP sprayer for $60.

You’re gonna love that Rikon air cleaner. Makes a real difference in my shop.

Jet Clamps from the big 50% off sale. Ended up with
4 – 24”
4 – 31”
4 – 40”
2 – 50”

$420 for 14 clamps was a steal. I just wish I could afford more, but I need way too many other things in the shop.

I stayed up past midnight for the LV Cyber Monday, and got a Veritas medium shoulder plane :)

No BF tools, but got a set of 4 Goodyear Eagle 16” tires for $325 mounted, balanced, tax, environmental fee all included. Considering that this was a purchase I needed to make anyway, it was nice to shave $125-$150 off.

Not really a tool, but got two 25% off coupons for Harbor Freight. Good for cheap, disposable stuff mostly, not usually anything that someone might “gloat” about, but I’ve found some of the stuff can still get the job done.

My shop had lost all of our Irwin quick grip clamps except for 2. We build cabinets and use those clamps all of the time. I had held off until the holiday in anticipation and sure enough, HD had 6 packs of the Irwin clamps for 13.88. I bought 5 packs. Now we have 10 6” clamps, 10 of the 12” clamps and 10 of the 4.5” mini clamps. We are set for about 3 years now. Those clamps are great and never break, they just get left behind. :)

I bought a right-hand edge-trimming plane (pm-v11 blade) from lee valley for $90 plus shipping:

It’s a decent deal, and I love my mini one that I bought a few years ago.

I finally gave in a bought a few Woodwright episodes. They were 50% off, but today they took off an additional 10%. Guess they didn’t move enough of them on Monday. The odds of them getting down to free are pretty slim, so I yielded to temptation ;-)

I tried and tried to find something to buy…...but came up empty. This year’s BF was a bust for me.

Well actually- my state-run liquor store was offering a ‘generous’ 10% discount for $50+ purchases. So I picked-up a couple of bottles of good bourbon. Other than that…...

Tedstor- great score on the booze discount! I scored a CL Tuesday deal today. John Deere 826 snow blower for $200 from a dealer that rebuilt the carb changed oil and new plug. sooooo sick of shoveling!

Those Jet clamps are quite tempting.

Scott, since you saved $125-$150 on tires, does that mean you can buy more saw blades? :)

In non-woodworking shopping, there was a specific laptop I planned to buy for $399 and put off the purchase until Monday. I snuck in and got it for $299 with free shipping. The retailers know just which hunter/gatherer buttons to push, don’t they?

I don’t think I got a special deal but I did buy myself the GRR-Ripper Double Pack Pro Model # GR-420 for Christmas for $149.00 + free shipping. A couple of weeks ago I had an incident with shop maid push block hitting the blade and kicked back into my hand. Was not hurt but decided to look into a better solution.

JJayzon, I’m curious to know your experience with the GRR-Ripper. It just looks so complicated to use for my simple mind.
