Just curious, has anyone bought these before

Worth the $3 or is it just junky ugly wood?

I’d take a chance- at that price you can’t lose. I know it says species may differ but seems like at least 3/4 of ‘em look like exotics. Only thing I don’t like are the 3 on the end. They look like bamboo or palm, both stringy. It wouldn’t hurt to ask them to grab a pack that has a higher percentage of darker woods. Some darker ones (cocobolo, redheart, goncalo alves, etc), make better looking pens, in my mind, anyways.

I went ahead and added a couple to an order I had to get to $25. Shipping on my $21 order was going to be $6, or I could add 2 of these for $6 and get free shipping. Based on reviews I’ve seen of their “cut off boxes”, Im not too optimistic about these, but we’ll see.
