I got the following message from a member. Anyone have suggestions??

” I’ve posted pictures of recent carvings and people are commenting. But when I click on the reply or view link, I get my own posting pictures where there’s a link for ‘comments’. When I click on that I get nothing. I can click on other links in that tool bar and proceed, but not my comments. My popup blocker is dissabled so I should be able to see these comments but can’t. Can you help?”

Ms. Debbie, can you or the company hosting the site replicate the issue? Also, does the member have another computer he or she can use to access the site? If the member has the problem on multiple computers, it is likely something on the server hosting this site. If not, it is most likely a setting on the member’s system.

He could try using a different browser. I know Google Chrome sometimes has trouble with a local tech college site. I use Firefox and it is pretty reliable.

Hard to tell without more specific info from the user. Ask for exactly which page it happens on, ask for the URL in the top bar, or if the problem is in following links from an email. Ask for a screen capture if possible, and try to reproduce the problem as someone mentioned. This could be a problem with disabled cookies or disabled JavaScript in the browser. A screen capture could show you if there are anomalies on there, such as him not being connected. Ask him to log out then log back in, things of that nature…of if he’s clicking on a message that told him he had a comment and he’s not seeing it when he goes to the site, it could be caching. Shift-reload on the page could clear that if it’s cached by the browser.
