Hi again. I’m looking at a powermatic mdl 45 that is in very good shape. The only problem is that it doesn’t have a tail stock. I have checked the internet, but haven’t any luck finding one. Any suggestions? Thanks, enjoy your Thanksgiving!

If this lathe is cheap enough, and you are not particular and have any machinist friends, just get any old tailstock and fit it to the lathe until you can find the proper one….... Jerry (in Tucson)

Hello Jerry, funny you should mention the machinist, I have a cousin that is one. I guess if the tail stock doesn’t line up perfectly, he could do what he can to get it just right. Never gave it a thought. Something to think about. Thanks.
