No pictures. Just me saying wow. Just used my new HF dust collector with tablesaw and MDF. Holy cow. What a difference. Of course I covered the back of the Jet Contractor saw which certainly improved the dust collection. I’m really impressed as to how little dust was left on the table saw! Impressive.

(It is understood that those who have been using DC all along cannot appreciate this. But for the rest of us who have never made the purchase, it’s quite the experience.)

That’s nothing. They make a portable version of the dust collector now. It comes with a long handle and wheels and even a wand attachment for tight spaces. The cool thing is that you don’t even need to hook it up to a machine. They call it a “vacuum”. I just got one of them and they are so cool! Come on over to my house and I’ll let you try it out. :)

LOL. That was funny.

Have been using shopvac to clean up for years. This thing isn’t high pitched and in fact isn’t as loud as I expected.

@twolabs… now go down to Lowes(Depot) and buy you a $14.99 remote start light switch and you will enjoy your DC more. There are people that tell you they won’t work on the HF DC but I’ve been using one for a year and it works just fine.
I have one I bought at Woodcraft for 50 bucks and it doesn’t work on the HF.
Go back and search the thread for this and you can get a model number.

Already have this one. Works great.

Rated for 20a. I preplanned the 20a dust collector circuit when I wired the shop. Bought this last year and have been only recently started using it on my shopvac. The on/off switch began to slip from the on to off position so I epoxied it into the on position permanently. This remote worked quite well.

However, since it’s now on sale for $5.95, I will pickup an extra. One for shopvac, one for dust collector. Will have to ensure they are different frequencies first.
