Topic tags/keywords: veneer stick and peel reface cabinet kitchen reface

I really do not want to tear down my 1959 kitchen cabinets just because they look a little bad to the wife. Some of the cabinets are right up against the window frames so I can’t use anything thick. Probably would go with white birch or maple but where to buy for the best price I have no idea. I think one or two 2’x8’ would be plenty to do the project. Checked Lowes and they no longer carry it and couldn’t find a place to order it in.

Also, I have had no experience with this type of re-facing. Any suggestions?

If you find them, just google it. It is best to moisten both sides or opposite the gluing side so the veneer doesn’t buckle on you.

I get peel and stick veneer from a local supplier so I cant help much with where to bu.

I’ve done some re-facing and the veneer with the 3M adhesive works well.

Do a Goggle search ” How to apply peel and stick veneer”, you’ll fine plenty of articles on how to do it. Never heard of “moisten both sides” so I don’t know about that other than I’ve never done and have been successful.

Here’s one on applying P&S:

This is a picture of some P&S Blood Wood veneer I had special made for my kitchen.
