Topic tags/keywords: question

Have you had a lot of problems with your site speed. Have you outgrown your capacity? You have never been a speed demon, but this morning is awful. Are there any plans to do some upgrades? Love your site otherwise.

Thanks

I’ve noticed that 7AM Eastern Time is slow; I believe it is server-backup time or something.
They were looking into. I’ll check again.

My Speed is Fine any time of the day. Of course I’m a Nut for cleaning Everything 0ff of here I don’t need.

I also have 2 Programs for cleaning off the Temp, History, index.dat files, and other stuff MS CleanUp won’t even touch.

All that Crap will slow your Computer down for sure. Not sure what you mean by “capacity” unless It’s what I just Typed.

I haven’t “Cleaned” in 4 Days but I’ll bet you it’s pretty well Loaded. I’ll Post this and have a look. Maybe do a Couple Of Screen Snips so you can see what I mean.

Results Below will Show ... COOKIES in 4 Days …......... IE History in 4 Days ….ONLY …. There are Others you Can’t See.

A Front Page Summary Ready to “Wash Out” at a TOTAL OF 429,935 KB!!

I am not a computer whizz. I do look at LJs a lot. There is an interment problem for me. When first logging on for several minutes (15—20) everything moves very fast from mouse commands. Then all of a sudden something causes a slow down of operating speed and may take a minute or two to change to the next command as when viewing Jocks home—projects—blog. Then sometimes the speed comes back after several minutes. Most of the time I just log out and go to some other computer task such as searching and everything is speedy again. I only seem to have this problem when looking thru LJ stuff. I do clean off stuff regularly from the memory’s. Thanks for your answers.

Les,
Glad to see you posting again! Every time I check out your shop I turn green with envy! If I had stayed in Indiana after my stint in the Navy, I would have wanted to build a shop like yours. Well done sir!

Internet Explorer naturally sucks has the worst security and is in general slower then any other browser out there besides a close race with Safari, Try using Chrome it self updates almost every need web software (Java, Flash, Shockwave) and then you can set it to auto delete your cookies when you close the browser as well, you can do the same in IE too if you actually want to use it.

try the following:

“clear their cookies and cache from their browser and log in again. It sounds like that could be the problem.”

keep me posted.

I don’t know what has happened but today the site has been back to its old fast ways. I want to thank someone. MsDebbieP may have had a hand in this. The slow down problem went on for a month or so. I just hope what ever was fixed stays fixed.
Thanks
