Fellow lumberjocks,

Can anyone help me with a tool I picked up last week?

Its a Gast 71R142-P075T-D300X Vacuum/Compressor that im planning on using for my vacuum chucking setup for my lathe.

It looks pretty straight forward as far as input and output connections but there is a bunch of plumbing set up for the compressor side. I have a couple pictures below that show some of it. There is a pressure gauge and relief valve. The things that I cant figure out are the square box on top that has all the power coming in and out (im assuming its a shut off or something) and the other is the round black cylinder under the box with orange tubs coming out of it.

My main goal is to have a nice, clean(hate my harbor freight pump!!!!) quiet and oil free vacuum pump. If I can gain a nice little compressor with a tank(think blowing dust off lathe, cleaning out hollow forms) then I would like to use both feature.

If anyone has experience with this set up and can offer some help that would be awesome!

That square box is probably the pressure switch.
