That’s hilarious! Someone was “reminded” once too often to go hang up the lights!

OK, you go out and do an elaborate job so now she wants me to follow suit. Thanks Bob.

The best part is you can leave it up all year and let birds build a nest in it.

You could have cut the installation time by only using one hook!

It’s a Christmas Porcupine, Bob. It’s a tradition in the outlying areas. I’m glad it finally made it up to the, Big Smoke.

I have a feeling this could start a trend.
Just think, lights ready to go – right out of the box!

Do they celebrate Porcupine day out there on the prairies Mot? ( -trying to be politically correct from now on)

Well, we’re not as sophisticated out here as you guys are up there. The local element usually just throws the ball of lights at the street end of their lawn and plugs them in. Once you start hanging them, like that, it adds an element of effort that we don’t see much.

Snowblowers? Nah, they have no trouble with that little ball of string at all.

I see you have the junior model. It should still send the neigbours a new set of lights though.

As a licensed gutter installer, I am offended that you would have no consideration for the gutter and put so much weight and stress on one small section. When it fails to perform properly who are you going to blame? You start by blaming time for this display, you have had as much time as the rest of us to prepare for this event. so please respect the faith I have for this material and treat it with the respect it deserves. Space those hooks out evenly so as not to burden one section more than the other. I just might report this to the building dept. by June they will have this straightened out, and a hefty fine may be just the thing for you.

P.S. When the gutter bends and you need a repair my number is in the book.

The solution is no lights at all. My wife describes our place at night during the Christmas season as the Black Hole of Calcutta.
