Topic tags/keywords: band saw

I am looking into band saws. I was leaning towards the rikon 10-325 vs a grizzly. I saw that grizzly has the g05555LX and the g0513 on sale. Any insight regarding any of these?

The G0555LX isn’t a contender between the rikon and grizzly G0513LANV. Between those two, the rikon has a longer warranty (5 years) but is slightly smaller (14” vs 17” on the grizzly) and less HP in the motor (1 1/2 vs 2 on the grizzly).

My 0555LX is a great addition to my shop. Had no set-up issues, all parts and instructions were dead on out of the boxes. Got good blades for it. The cast iron wheels really make a difference.
The black anniversary addition at b$445.00 + shipping in a bargain.

No direct comparison between the two, but I along with most people have been very happy with the 10-325. I’m no grizzly hater by any means, I have a jointer and planer of theirs that are great. I just wanted to go local with the bandsaw because the local woodcraft had treated me so well, I wanted to make sure I gave him some business as well.

I would definitely shoot for the Rikon.10-325 – it’s a great saw.
