Hello Everyone,
I have a real interest in making a Native American Flute. Found alot of info on line, however somewhat vague. Have any of you woodworking Pro,s made these flutes? If so, could you share your knowledge with me?
Take a look at this guy's site, http://www.jimsflutes.com/fluteprocess.htm I met him at a woodcrafts show in upstate NY this summer. He's ridiculously passionate about what he makes, and is also an excellent player, he could be a good contact, he really enjoys talking about his work, and had flutes in process at the show to show how it was done. He does a $20 version for grins and giggles out of "Urban Bamboo" AKA PVC pipe, but the rest of his work is very expensive, but doubtlessly worth it for the quality

7/8 bore size of Tsh, where to place finger holes and size and what note each hole should be, base upon cross fingering. this time "flute" making, I found the site www.bluebearflutes.com very helpful.
"The Art Of American Flute Making" by Charlie & Jessie Mato-Toyela should answer most questions about flute making.
