This is an American Device P.O. box door. Does anyone know how to reset the combination on one of these locks? I seem to have misplaced the combination to it. An internet search turned up nothing.

Thanks JustJoe but no the door I have has a single dial with a three letter combination. The gears are stacked 3 high. A little different animal from the video. However after some trial & error I found the right combination & got the lock opened. Had I relaxed & took a deep breath to begin with I would have had it opened earlier.

Thanks for the reply.

Now that you’ve got it open, does this thread help you figure out how to change the combo?

dpwalker, I have several of those and had to figure out the combinations as well. A bit of advice: they won’t work in a horizontal position (they have to be vertical). Found that out after making a piggy bank for my granddaughter!

JustJoe that is the answer I was looking for. I truly appreciate your help on this.

gfadvm I will keep that in mind. Thank you.

Bill I got these off of ebay last year. If you search there you will find many for sale.

dpwalker / Bill White: Try Penn State Industries. They sold them for a while, and may still do so. I bought some a while back and each one had a set of instructions for resetting the comination. Hope this helps
