I need to order exotic lumber that has been cut to 3/16” thick. I will need a lot of boards and multiple species. Does anyone know where I could order these from? I haven’t found anywhere online that has that thickness or the species I need.

You aren’t going to find someone who has that thickness and a ton of selection. Rockler might have something close if you are filthy rich. What species are you looking for?
It would be easiest to just find someplace that sells the exotics you want, order them in 4/4 and have someone local resaw them to 3/16. You’ll pay enough less per bf with 4/4 vs 3/16 to offset the cost of resawing. Heck, find a real thrifty/stingy/cheap woodworker and he/she would probably do the resawing for free in return for a few of those exotic boards.

3/16 may fall into the veneer category so try that in your search queries. Rockler sells all sorts of exotics and possibly in that dimension but I think they are all smalllish pieces… like no longer than a foot or so.

I could rip 3/16” on tablesaw pretty easily so if you know someone with a decent table saw or band saw…

No clue about where to purchase 3/16ths stock, but what about purchasing 1/4 inch stock and sanding it down to 3/16ths?

I need Bocote, Pau Santo, Cocobolo, and Leopard. We have been resawing ourselves but its time consuming and hard to get consistency but we will either keep doing that or get the 1/4 inch and sand down.. but that’s a lot of waste we would like to avoid. I’ll definitely check out Rockler though! thanks!

Exotic Woods,Wall Lumber,Advantage Lumber, & ThinWoods.com- all have thin exotics but I can’t find any that carry 3/16s. You may have to get 1/4” and have them thickness sanded. Hope this helps.
