I found this SB tool catalog this morning while not sure which tool I need right now. Have too many tools already.

I do like their universal grinding system & platforms. Have been thinking about switching to CBN wheels for my bench grinder. Need a new 8” bench grinder before can do that.

Information provided on tool use and cutting theory worth a look. Just remember it is a sales catalog.

Bill … You can NEVER have TOO MANY tools!

Gerry you are absolutely correct! Would definitely want a D-Way CBN wheel on my grinder before buying more expensive tools.

While aware of Stuart Batty as an instructor demonstrator did not know he moved into tool production. Here are some outstanding videos where his explanations make perfect sense.

I like many features of his gouges and handles but know there are less expensive alternatives. Using a lot of what he teaches during his demonstrations will make you a better turner regardless what steel your tools are made from.
