Topic tags/keywords: unifence retrofit fence install tablesaw

I bought an older version 32” Unifence (I think it’s a 34-897) off CL yesterday for $40. I know—deal of a lifetime!.

Now to install it on my newer model Craftsman TS 21833. I was hoping someone could take a couple of measurements on their Unisaw to get me going.

I need to figure out where to drill new holes in the rail for the correct height and horizontal position. Page 4 and 5 of this pdf gives a visual of what I’m trying to accomplish.

1. What is the vertical distance from the table surface to the flat surface of the rail. In other words, what do I set the height of the rail to? Figure 16 in the pdf.

2. What is the distance from the right side of your 1/8” kerf blade to the 0” mark on the measuring tape? In other words, where do I position the rail horizontally with respect to the blade so that it is within the adjustment range of the cursor?

Any other advice or suggestions is greatly appreciated!
