Any chance we could get a smart phone app for Lj? I love checking Lj out when I’m sitting in airports or other random times, but this site is hard to navigate on a smart phone.

i feel like this has been suggested before, but it just hasn’t materialized. biggest reason i’d like it is that I hate any time you log onto LJ on a different machine it logs you out from other machines. For that purpose I rarely check LJ from anywhere other than my home computer.

get rid of apple. I have an Iphone. This is my first and last apple product. I have had nothing but CS problems, and the Itunes program that you must use to access the phone is forever changing and a PITA to navigate, so when you do an Iso upgrade then you have to relearn Itunes just to put you stuff back on the phone after every upgrade. also I had 1 phone give out on me. It just went dead. I took it back to the phone company and they said I had to take it to apple (clear across town). I was dumbfounded that I could not get the phone serviced where I bought it. To boot I had to make an appointment and was without a phone for 3 days. When I got there it took the guy 15 min to swap out the phone and say have a nice day. Never again

How about just a version of the website that is mobile friendly? An app isn’t necessary.

I brought up this topic a while ago. Some answers were pretty good as to why there is no app created at this time. Check it out.

Love my apple ipad and iphone, would never give either of them up. They are workhorses that do everthing I ask of them and more, to include .pdf file management of all power tool manuals I find on OWWM (for example), drawings for projects, picture management that is integrated between devices instantly via photostream, rhobust Safari browser that opens everthing not reliant on obsolete Flash technology, etc. etc.

Will never use a windows or chrome based tablet; I’ve put up with windows for 20+ years only because I have to. Most unstable marriage of hardware and OS ever foistered on mankind.

+1 to the request for mobile app adaptation of LJs. Although I’ve gotten used to seeing it on the phone. And phones are getting larger screens all the time, it seems.

I believed they haven’t done the apps yet, but I wish they could have it for better access of LJ resources. Anyway, in regards to woodworking interest I am into, I made a personalize iphone case that is themed with woodworking styles and materials, got that idea from http://www.kekacase.com/design-your-own/phone-cases.html.

Yeah, still no app. We actucally don’t need an app, just a smart phone friendly viewing version. A good example is Rockler.com It looks fantastic on your phone and is very easy to use.

Mobile friendly would be better but I suspect they gave up on improving the forums after changing to a posting date from number of days.
