Topic tags/keywords: question shadow box military shadow box help

Hello I’m new to this site, but I have been looking for some plans for a Military retirement shadow box. My father
is a retired Marine who passed in 07 and I would like to make a shadow box for my mom. What I’m looking for is
plans for a shadow box that holds a 3×5 flag in the corner.

Thanks in Advance
Bill

Welcome to LJ’s.

Not knowing what other items you want to display with the flag (photos, medals, accomodations, etc.) I would suggest typing the word shadow box in the LJ search engine & follow the 1st link which would be for “woodworking projects tagged with shadow box….” That will take you to a large list of project’s done by other member of LJ’s & will provide some good examples on what you may want to attempt. From there you could possibly send a private message to the creator for more information or post another topic when you narrow down the type of project you are going to attempt.

Hope this helps

Do a youtube search for flag display case. there is a great one that was done by Steve Ramsey.

I would start by assembling all of the items you want to put in the box and then design it from the inside out. Making sure each item has the appropriate space.

Your right Bob the one Steve Ramsey did is nice but he didn’t give the specs on it all he did was make a video of him making it
