I’m in the market for a jointer. Can anyone give me some info on the one in this listing? Model #, pricing, etc…

looks great
and for $175 a steal
(here they want $400 for something similar)

a little TLC
and you should be good to go
(maybe a new belt too)

If I was in the market, I would be calling him as soon as I saw the ad. As long as it works fine, buy it. I would think blades would be fairly easy to find.

Dunno about the model # but enclosed base, Rockwell in the name and table wheels says that is a nice machine at that price.

I had one just like it for a good while. Nice machine. Don’t worry about the model number, just go get it!

The Rockwell got sold before I got a chance to go look at it. So, I did take Loren’s path and went ahead with the Taiwanese knockoff for $75. It’s branded as Transpower.

It certainly needs some work and a new set of knives, but it should suit my needs for awhile. Both tables and fence are rusted, the base needs to be mobilized, and, as stated, it needs new knives. I’ll probably add some form of dust collection, as well.

Have your say...
