I know very little about Baileigh machine tools, other than what I read in their catalogs. The company is a relative newcomer (1999). They appear to be a similar company to Jet and Grizzly. I don’t know the cost of their tools, but it would appear they would be close to Jet and higher than Grizzly. I have not seen any reviews in any of the other forums. It’s not every day a woodworker goes out to buy an expensive machine, so it will probably be some time before we read about them. Most of their machines would look at home in an industrial setting, so I’m guessing they are made to industrial standards. Going be catalogs, I compared the contractor saw and the 2 HP hybrid saw from both Grizzly and Baileigh and they appeared to be identical. All the 3 and 5 HP cabinet saws didn’t appear to be much different. Beyond that, they were very different. Although I am not in the market for any new machines, I still like to keep up with what’s new, good or bad.

Um, is there a question in there somewhere?

Really have to look at machine specs and manuals to find differences even though paint is different machines look like made by same manufacturer.

I thought these lakes exactly alike, well they are not!

Looks like Baileigh went for better features from the specs & manual and with sale price better buy.

Reviews & videos on both a Baileigh table and band saw posted here by owners pretty impressive machines.

From the things I’ve seen they are one thing…expensive. They had better have some koolio gadgets that make life easier to shell out that kind of cash.

I checked the contractor’s saw and the 2 HP hybrid saw and I’m sure they are identical. I pulled the manuals for each and compared them. There is no question, just a query for anyone with first hand knowledge of Baileigh machinery and their impressions, if any.
