Topic tags/keywords: question resource

I am going to be at my Daughters home in Oceanside for the X-mas Holidays and she apparently has a Daddy Do List for me when I get there (Soon to be Son in Law does not know the difference between a $50 chisel and a $2 screwdiriver) . Most of the wood I might need I am sure I can get at HD or Lowes but I am thinking there are going to be a couple of things that are going to require a better quality than I would find in one of them.
So does anyone know of a good source for S4S hardwood—Oak , Cherry and maybe Mahogany. Some place that is not going to mind selling just a couple of small peices for a minor Home Project instead of a bunch for a major furniture or cabinet build. There are some places around San Jose that don’t want to deal with selling one small board.
And I am going to be really limited to avaliable tools ( No TS , Jointer or Planner ) so I won’t be trying to make a masterpiece , just some minor repairs.

Thanks

Sounds like a visit to Woodcraft might be in order.

Thanks Loren that one is fairly close and looks to have more than enough selection.

Michael , that might be a trip to take but but at least I know they usualy have what I might need.

Let them know what you need now and they may be able to
set aside some short boards or something like that.
