Topic tags/keywords: resource question trick tip arts and crafts

I am a pen maker and am looking for a reliable way for me to affix a price/ID tag to my pens. I have tried the little jewelry tags with threads but attaching them around the upper barrel or the clip doesn’t aways work because they tend to slide off. Some of my pens and pencils have a smooth flat clip and there is nothing to keep the tag secure. Also, since I move some of my merchandise through consignment stores, I think I have been getting ripped off by some “tag swapping” since the threaded tags are so easy to remove.

I am looking for how other pen makers have approached the problem. Any feedback??

Sticky tags just gum up the works … just for the heck, try a photo of the pen with the price and stckmit under the clip. Now you have a price tag that shows the price and the product. If they ever get seperated it’s easy to match the two again.

Just a “different” thought!

I’ve seen plastic tags with minimal adhesive that have a thin band in the middle where it can be wrapped around any cylindrical item and the writing area of the tag is large enough to put your price so it can be visible. Since most of what’s holding it in place is the band that’s formed by sticking it to itself, combined with the light adhesive they work pretty good, can’t remember where I saw them though. The plastic is nice too because it can’t be torn off, it has to be cut so no more tag switching.

What about a rack for the pens with the price on tag in front of each one?
