Hello wood lovers,

You might have seen this posted by SteveL but I wanted to list it as well.

Dave Spacht is a really nice guy and runs a great small, local and friendly lumber mill. He has great local PA hardwoods for sale and has plenty of opinions/conversations for free!!!!

Come out a enjoy a nice Saturday with the family or friends and see how they turn a tree into a beautiful piece of furniture. Demos from craftsmen, sawing even live music.

Here is the Facebook link to the event and their business – https://www.facebook.com/pages/Spacht-Sawmill/163099517042912

Here are some general details:

Spacht Sawmill Open House – Saturday, October 5, 10 to 4

Tentative schedule: Sawing demos @ 11 & 2:30. Blackjack Bluegrass Band performing at 1 PM, with a banjo-playing sawyer . Artisans who will be exhibiting or demonstrating include Brad Smith, Ray Kelso , Mark Krick, Kevin Brobst, Bryan Willette. We’re waiting to hear from several others and have a few more woodworkers we want to ask! More details to follow, but save the date!

Mike,

I live out in Chester Co but I work close to Spachts!

Dave is a character so make sure you talk to him.

Have your say...
