I saw a nice looking Rigid 3650 on CL that someone wanted to trade for. I was thinking it’s prob worth ~$300ish in it’s current condition (good).

But I’ve also seen lots of posts on here about people finding deals on closeout tablesaws at big box stores orange and blue.

I figured if there’s a season for closeouts it’s about now, construction season winding down.

Any thoughts on this?

If you got a great deal on a big box TS was it during a seasonal sale?

I’ve been watching for a deal on the Ridgid 4512 at HD for a while now, and haven’t seen a dollar of movement in the price tag. I’ve heard of several people catching them on clearance, but it seems to be when that particular store trims down their large tool inventory and stops carrying it.

If you don’t mind the motor hanging off the back of the saw then IMO the 3650 is the way I’d go. The 3650 was the first TS introduced by TTI when they first purchased the rights to the RIDGID Trademark from Ridge Tool/Emerson. That saw was pretty much built like a tank like the earlier grey saws that Ridge Tool sold. Again, IMO, every saw that TTI has introduced since then, 3360, 4511, and 4512, has been of lesser quality than the one preceding it.
