Went to see my sawyer today. He doesn’t have much, but that only means that you can get some good buys on stuff he’s had laying around.
Got these two pieces of Walnut, one is 8/4 the other 4/4. I had to put a couple bowties in the cracks, but I think they’ll be on the underside because the other side has less cracks and I plan to fill them with turquoise.

I think I paid 9$ for the wood.

The legs are going to be two pieces of 4/4 pecan curved in a sweep and glued up to make them 8/4 thickness then I’ll use three of them, one on either side and one in the middle.

Can’t wait to get this done. I would like to see if a high end furniture store will carry ‘my line’ of furniture and sell on commission. I’ll just set my price and anything they can get above that they can keep. I’d like to get about 500$ wholesale for it.

I’m looking forward to seeing it all done – I just got done with a project with walnut and hickory they look awesome together.

rrww, you know, I still have some hickory left. I wonder if I have enough wide boards.
