Looking to make an EVS vacuum press.

Anyone have any experience/opinion about Robinair vacuum pumps? on paper, they look to be good bang for the buck.

THanks

Ev

No first hand experience, but most of them still look more expensive than this one from Joe Woodworker. I’ve had one of those for probably 7-8 years, adn have yet to have a problem with. Plus, if you get this one you get Joe’s advice on it’s use and can get alll the other parts you need (and plans) to build your own set up.

It’s a pretty well known pump brand.
HF sells a pump that looks very similar for much less $, but it probably is a lower quality knock-off.
or, a Google search found this.

Link to above pump image.
