I have my dads old Dewalt RAS. I contacted dewalt and according to the serial number this is Model MB-C made in February 1951.(Serial# 105307) (Motor464H14)They sent me the booklet on it…
I am wanting to find a new home for this saw and do not have a clue how to go about finding out if it has any value. Few months ago I plugged it in and turned it on and it started tight up and just purred! LOL
It needs to be restored and would probably be desirable to someone who loves these old saws.
My dad bought it new and I have had it since he died in 1983.
How do I go about putting a value on this? Or is it just an old saw that needs to be junked?
Thanks for any help.
Jenni

If you haven’t tried asking over at old wood working machines (owwm.com) – I would try there. You will find a large audience of people knowledgeable about your saw and it’s possible value.

Craigslist tend to be full of RAS. Currently there are ten listed on my local Craigslist from $40 to $300. In my opinion, anything over $100 is a pipe dream unless it’s a bigger 12” model in really nice shape.

Don’t toss it Jenni,

Although it’s not worth a lot, there is a market for an old RAS like that. Just search e-bay for dewalt Radial Arm Saw

owwm.com also has a place where you can post this saw for sale, but you have to register as a user in order to post it.
