I’m looking at buying either the Lie Nielsen inlay tools or the new Veritas inlay attachment for their hand router plane.

Does anyone have any comments on respective merits these tools.

They both appear to cut straight or curved inlay groves but I am not clear as to hor the waste is then removed.

I notice that Pfeil sell a purflin chisel for this purpose. Also the Veritas minature router with its 3mm blade might do the job

Help

Jack, make your own and buy the 1/16” chisel from Lee Valley.
