`Budget` saws?

I’m not really too sure what decent brand saws are out there at the moment.

I’m after a decent set of joinery back saws.

It seems like if you want the Western style, there’s either cheap generic hard point tenon saws, or the next step up is Veritas back saws that are between £50 and £60 each.

I’m thinking maybe £35 a pop ($65)

Is there anything in between that’s worth considering?

Shop made bow saw.

I’m pretty sure I’ve seen the Veritas backsaws on sale for about £35. I didn’t think much of it because that’s the same price it’s offered for regularly in $ after exchange, but they explained that was a good deal. I can’t find the thread right now or I would give you the link.

Have you considered vintage?

I found the link that had it for £35, but now it's listed for £58.

You could ask on the forums at where they find their deals. Lot of Brits there.
