Like a lot of you, I have been thinking about going all in on a Saw Stop. I don’t have a lot to spend and my little Delta has seen much better days, so I’m thinking of going with the contractor saw. My question is should I shell out the extra $300 to get the upgraded fence or just use the Vega U50 that I already have? Any thoughts or opinions are greatly appreciated.

Hi Moe

Having used a Vega for many years, I never found it lacking in accuracy at all. Since you already own this fence I would mount in on the new Saw Stop. I remounted mine 3 times in the years that I owned it and only sold it when I purchased a Sliding table saw that could not use it.

The Vega is a nice fence in it’s own rite…..if it still functions properly, keep it!
