Topic tags/keywords: question

I have some Solid cherry wood that I am going to laminate to be a top for a desk. I am wondering what wood I can pair with the Cherry to get the same stain and texture.

Cherry plywood is hard to find and I was thinking of using Ash for the cabinets trimmed with Solid Cherry.

Thanks in advance for the advice.

Maple is a good pairing to cherry. Of course sometime even cherry isn’t good with itself. Seems that each new load is different from the last.
