And they deserve a shout out.
I decided to splurge and gave each and every one of my @#$%^& Phillips screws (all neatly organized) to my sons.
I also ordered the sample assortment of over a 1000 square-drive screws from McFeely’s.
I received them, did a few projects and then reordered additional assortments in 6 and 8 and 10 that I knew I would need more of.
Then a month later I ordered their color coded driver bits. (Hell, why not. I am an old man and can indulge myself if I want).
I had not needed to open the second shipment of additional screws for a month.
I left them on my workbench …......all those screws with three of those yellow and black Harbor Freight 10 bin storage boxes ….......and my sweet wife (who had written out the ID stickers like we did the first time) decided be of help and cut the labels off the boxes and put them in the bins with the screws, dumped the screws where they were supposed to go and threw away the boxes.
Turned out all the second shipment were Phillips head……….and she certainly would not know that was not what I wanted.
I contacted McFeely’s and said “this was no biggie, easily solved……..if mistake on my end, let’s fix it, if mistake on your end, let’s fix it”.
Long story short…………McFeely’s replaced the entire Phillips shipment immediately and at no charge.
Even when I said (this was all email) that I felt I should at least pay something and send the Phillips back in bags (they were still sorted, just no boxes) they thanked me for making the offer……but………NO CHARGE.
And this was not a small order, at least for me.

1 complete order of #8 lengths
And I compete order of #10 lengths
Not only are their products great
And obviously their customer service is great
But, I know enough about building organizations……………….. and how hard it is to develop a universal corporate attitude toward any goal………….to know that McFeely’s is a great company with great top level people insisting and monitoring and teaching and expecting this type/kind of service by great and capable employees.
