I wanted to try something different. I see the zigzag pattern all the time and thought it’s my turn to give it a shot. Learned that it is really difficult to glue and clamp pieces on an angle. I’ll get better at it. Sorry for the bad pictures.

I have a hand-woven wool tapestry, 30” x 40”, of the west coast mountains reflected in the ocean.
Your #1, in wood, has come dang close to evoking the same image of the BC coastline!

Also, you have made the angular glue-ups look easy = that’s how I know how hard it must have been.
Me? I’m trying to glue 3 sticks together for wood carving and keep the pieces from crawling around during the night!
