Does the blade bevel go up or down? In other words, when I install a new blade should I be able to see the bevel or the flat side? One answer here says bevel down but I’m not sure. Can anybody help??

Thanks

I’ve never had that specific planer, but on the 2 I have had, the bevel was always up (you look at it with the blade installed). Can’t imagine it would be different on the Dewalt, but no first hand experience.

the flat side has to hit the wood first. I don’t have a dewalt either, but whether you see the bevel or the flat depends on the position of the drum.

up

Edit (to add more credibility): I have that planer, and you install the blades so that you see the bevel side (up) and not the flat side.
