We started with a small bat to spark interest. He thinks it is cool and his twin is going to make a bowl as his first turning. Now that they are interested I am going to branch out into other woodworking projects. Some of the projects will be a box for their mom for Christmas, a cutting board and a wood mallet. I think I gained a couple partners to work with. I did the same with their older brother who set up a shop when bought a house.

Good for you and good for them, a lot of young people don’t know what a hobby is or that woodworkers can make a good living if they work in the right woodworking market. I can’t hardly wait to get off work from IT Support to go make something from wood. They can also make some spare money with their new talents. The extra $$ will be nice when it’s time to start taking care of cars in a few years.
