I’m starting this topic to inquire about any local woodworkers who may have some extra time to show me the ropes. I’m pretty new to woodworking, I’m still learning and honing even my basic skills, and I am happy to receive any help on woodworking techniques that you may be willing to pass on.

So if you are in Orange County, CA and have experience woodworking and wouldnt mind a helper around the shop from time to time in exchange for teaching some techniques, please let me know by posting here or messaging me. It would be greatly appreciated.

You can always go dumpster diving and foraging for pallets. Or re purpose furniture from garage sales or the curbside free piles.

My local Craigslist has stuff in the free section all the time. Check out yours.

I would love to cruise around and pick up wood from the Craigslist free section and such, but I’m limited to what I can carry on my bicycle, because I dont have a car :(
