so im trying to get my great grandfathers 32 craftsman lathe up and going. got the rest rebuilt and working well, but need a new toolrest before I can run it.
it uses a 5/8 shaft.
must be at least 5 inches tall.

I can find tons of 5/8 tool rests listed on google, but none of them seem to give the overall height. its an 11 inch capacity lathe, and ill be using it to turn canes, bowls, etc. the stuff I enjoy turning.

anyone have a source for this?

I just welded a piece of angle on a piece of pipe. Works like a charm.
