Topic tags/keywords: planer stanley planer replacement planer blades question

Question … Last June when I was in Rwanda I met a carpenter in the rural area who was using and old Stanley planer No. 5 the only other numbers were 02-005 .... The blade was badly worn so I told him I would try and get him a replacement … So I need help … I can find replacement blades for the No 4 but having hard time with the No 5 … Do they use the same blade ? Where can I get one? Thanks for your help

The Stanley #4 and #5 use the same iron. All vintages are the same as well. I am not familiar with 02-005 number, it’s probably a casting number.
