I would appreciate any advice that any of you could give on building a baby crib. I will need plans, hardware, wood, etc. I have seen some beautiful cribs on here and am looking forward to hearing from you.

I had a good time building a 3-in-1 baby bed, that converts from a baby bed to a toddler rail bed, to a full size bed. I found the plans in a Wood Magazine. I can’t recall the issue. But it is a solid bed, made from quarter sawn oak and oak plywood. They has a hardware kit I ordered from a place in Canada.

Here is the link to the plans: http://www.woodmagazine.com/woodworking-plans/furniture/kids/3-in-1-bed-for-all-ages/

Have fun!

My only advise is once you biuld it, never sell it. All the new laws they have now for cribs are a nightmare. It’s a lawsuit waiting to happen.

Have your say...
