Pens for Troops

Saturday, Nov 8th, my daughter and I went to a local wood store, Wood Zone in West Columbia SC. This day they hosted an event called “Turn a Pen for the Troops”. What you could do was turn a pen and it would be sent to SC troops who are deployed for the war effort. You could also send a note to the soldier who received the pen. I nor my daughter had done any turning, but with the help of Doug, we were able to turn out two nice pens apiece. My thanks to Carl and Colleen Graffe for hosting this event and to Doug for his patience in working with myself and Ashley. We really learned alot and had a great time in the process. This was a fine way to honor and support our troops. Here are two of the pens Ashley made.
