Posted on nextdoor that I would pickup or haul off wood scrap around my neighborhood and someone replied back saying he had some wood he would bring me.
Guessing its around 500-600+ board feet of kiln dried cedar 4×4's 2×3's 1×12's and 2×2's they all appear to be 4ft in length the pile is right around waist high..
I love free stuff..
update
4ft piece is weighing in at around 115lbs
And the 6ft piece about 185lbs
Hey brother! Great score! I see numerous Adirondack Chairs and Planter boxes in your future. Can you post me a link to your nextdoor add, as I want to try that here in my hometown. One never knows.
Yea he delivered it and helped me unload it he said he can bring more when i need it. He's also bringing some type of composite material that's 5" thick by 24" by 6' gonna try it for a work bench top
If anyone in the Dallas area would like some cedar send me a message I'm more than happy to share some of it.
If you have any scraps of wood left over from projects or home improvements that you want to get rid of please let me know, this also includes broken furniture. I would be glad to haul it off and put it to good use.
I build various items and furniture out of reclaimed scrap wood.
Well he just drop off 2 Douglas fir construction beams 5" thick by 24" wide one 6 foot and one 4 foot. They are factory glue ups surfaced on all sides and planed smooth on 2. And man talk about fun to move around the garage the 6 footer weighs in at 185lbs! Both were still covered with a plastic/tyvex wrap.
I'm bouncing off the walls..
