Several days ago, I was checking out Craigslist and found a peach. Seller was liquidating an estate that included an April 1959 Dewalt 925, Frame 230. It had one owner, asking $165. I made a call and went out to look at it…it was like new with some light surface dirt. No rust or damage; all knobs, decals, badges, paperwork, and original pant; came with extra blades, original wrenches, and attachments. Even the drop down table hardware and original aluminum table inserts were in tact. I bought it on the spot and set up in my shop that same day. It was hardly out of alignment, just needed a few tweaks. I’ve already used it and it’s a dream…solid as a tank. And there’s’ nothing like the quiet hum of a well built motor and the heft of old iron!

Congrats on the acquisition!!!

I have the same saw,
But not in as good condition….

This is an old photo, just after relocating it from Long Island to Vermont…..
I’ve since reinstalled a shop made table and fence.

Enjoy that “old Iron”!!!

I envy you. I have been wanting a Dewalt 12” RAS for several years.

I would say you suck, but instead thanks for the nice craftsman RAS I got out of the deal. It was nice to see your town and the shop. If that dewalt gets lonely for it’s twin I’ll be happy to come up and get that other sears out of the way for you. That is a pretty little property and shop you have…. Oh, and Thanks to Jerry for deciding he didn’t need another tool this weekend!! I will get that thing up and running in a week or so, as soon as I can get a little hole in the schedule, and post pics when it happens.

I had the same saw. The beauty is that one complete crank is 1/8”, so you can dial in 1/128th” with ease! Enjoy it!

I had to pass up on one of these oldies just because I didn’t have the room for it.
Glad you do : )

Very nice RAS Jeff. Congrats.

Joey I’m glad it worked out for you and Jeff. New tools and machines are always fun! Forget building cabinets when new tools are more fun :)
