Just wondering if anybody has a clue to create the “soft touch” finish similar to the Bad Axe Tool saws. Is it simply a 50/50 oil varnish mix?

Most saw makers today use Tru-oil which will give you that lookif lightly rubbed out between coats and after the last coat with 0000 steel wool. There are videos on Youtube showing the process.

I don’t know for sure if it is what Bad Axe use, but why not call them up and ask them. I’m sure Mark will help you out.
