Does anybody know if a powermatic 87 the older metal cutting saws can be used for wood?Mahalo

Sure you can. Max speed may be slower than what
is usually used for wood though.

Thanks loren theres one used for 700 barely used and I guess they can weld there own blades.

Usually the metal band saws have less height capacity
than the same size wood saws. You can make inside
cuts by using the welder… of course an entry kerf in metal
cannot be glued shut like one in wood can sometimes be.
