I just saw someone selling a Tradesman 8100S floor standing drill press and Delta model 22-560 planer for $125 each on local CL.

I have no clue on either one of these and would like to know soon if you guys recommend these or not.

The delta 560 has been replaced bt the 590 so it is out of date. You can find reviews of it at amazon. 125 if it in like new condition. Trademans drill press who knows? Another no name Chinese knock off most likely. If the run outs not too bad and itactually works with no obvius burnig smell it might be worth 125

The Tradesman 8100S was an import that played to wonderful reviews on Amazon, mostly 5 stars, but gathered up two one-star ratings when the price doubled. Nobody wrote a bad review on quality. It sold new for $170, which is not much more than the $125 your guy wants. Then it became unavailable. It looks a LOT like the current PC marketed by Lowes for $300, floor model, same table, same switch position, etc.

I went ahead and got the Delta planer. Haven’t used it yet though. It looks very lightly used.

Have your say...
