We have 4 mature English Walnut trees on our property and wonder if it’s worth selling them. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

OK, my humble statement, but please let them live if they are healthy. If they just gotta come down, then they are worth some money, but there are too many variables to talk of before a value could be reached. There is a ton of work ahead to make useable lumber out of them, usually making it a wash or even a loss in trying to sell the wood unless you can mill and dry them yourself.

I am from Michigan…most recently of Ann Arbor. Depending on your location, I have several friends who have hired local folks with portable mills to come saw fallen trees up for them. Post some ads on Craigslist and see what happens.

If the trees are in close proximity to a house and not out in the woods all by themselves, you will probably have a hard time finding a sawyer who will touch them. Trees that are close to dwellings typically have things in them that will damage saw blades big time. A sawyer I know will not saw anything that is close to homes and showed me some chunks of metal that he hit in the past that really messed his blade up. He routinely turns down people like you because he doesn’t want to risk hitting something.

If they are deep in the woods, you may find someone to harvest them for you.
