Topic tags/keywords: question

Would the web master have it in their power to arrange posts into the forum so that the most recent posts are listed first? Or am I missing a few key strokes that I can perform to do this?? I belong to other sites and this is the way posts are listed. Just asking.

This site is different. I’m glad it’s like that. How can you follow a thread if you have to read it backwards?

If you’re too busy to read the whole thing, You can skip to the bottom. But you may miss out on the continuing story which I find just as interesting as the original post.

It’s part of what makes this site so good. besides, what’s your hurry?

I like the setup too. I read a thread, then if I find it interesting, I quickly scroll to the most recent posts upon my return.

Easy peasy… (Lemon squeezy?)

Some of us don’t want to read 6,000+ posts a lot of which are ancient history, or don’t have the time.

A lot of sites give you the option of having the posts appear in either ascending or descending order.

If there are 6000+ posts you don’t want to read, open the thread, then close it, then just click on the green “new responses” link from then on.

This is not exactly what you are asking for. You can click on “View All Replies” and then click on the last page.

Sorry, I’ve also seen the top-down within discussions but way-prefer this layout. ‘Scroll down to see more’ makes sense to me…

I am with Bogeyguy on this one. Just the option to change the setting in user profile would do so one could customize it to what best suites their needs. The current option doesn’t bug me all that much but wish see previous x reply button or the option to select any page of discussion at the bottom of the thread page so one could avoid having to do a bunch of unnecessary scrolling.

I much prefer the format we currently have. (if I get a vote)

Just asking if it could be a simple thing to do. If you read the blogs daily why would you want the oldest post listed first and have to do another click or 2 find the latest post. Open the blog and the latest is right there in front of u, no hunting.
